Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is an actress and model from the United States. When she was in 1990, shortly following her debut as a model, Suvari started to appear in tv shows like Boy Meets World. In 1997, she made her debut as a film actor on Nowhere. Her roles in American Beauty, for which she was awarded an BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie brought her to broader public attention. In 2000, she starred with her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. She then played the lead character for the role of Sugar & Spice (2000). Her appearances were in the 2002 acclaimed independent drama Spun as well as the 2004 action feature Trauma. In HBO's drama series Six Feet Under. In 2004 she received an award for an Outstanding Cast member in the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Suvari was a part in several films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari has appeared in many fashion magazines and blogs as well as Vogue. She's a Lancome model, and is featured on the advertisements printed for Lancome Paris Adaptive. Suvari is a strong supporter and a defender of the African Medical and Research Foundation which is a well-known organisation that helps provide aid to Africans. Additionally, she is involved on issues of empowerment and empowerment of women as well as charities which promote research into breast cancer as well as End Violence Against Women.
